Returns, Refunds and Delivery – Information Giants

This page explains how we deliver bookstore orders and how returns and refunds work. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

Delivery

We deliver within South Africa by courier or post. Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout.
Orders are usually dispatched within [2 to 3] business days of payment. Courier delivery usually takes a further [2 to 5] business days, depending on your area.
You can also collect your order from our office at Waterfall Country Estate, Midrand, 1685, South Africa by arrangement.
Please check your parcel on delivery and tell us within 7 days if anything is missing or damaged.

Damaged, defective or incorrect items

If a book arrives damaged, has a printing defect (such as missing or loose pages), or is not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days with your order number and a photo. We will replace it or refund you in full, including delivery costs. Under section 56 of the CPA you may also return defective goods within six months of delivery for a repair, replacement or refund.

Changing your mind

Section 42(2) of the ECT Act excludes books from the statutory cooling-off right for online purchases. As a courtesy, we accept returns of unused books in their original condition within 7 days of delivery. You pay the cost of returning them, and we refund the purchase price once we receive them. eBooks and digital products

Because digital products can be copied once downloaded, they are not refundable unless the file is faulty and we cannot fix it.

Refunds

Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method within 10 business days, and in any case within 30 days.
